Mid afternoon, and partly cloudy. I turn 23 in nine days. Rufus Wainwright - Vicious World There's not a whole lot to tell about how I feel. Time flows onward, and I move along with it like a barge towards Niagara Falls. Only I hope not to be stuck on shoals for 85 or so years; I would rather go over the edge... For I have the call, to fall. I am being too cute with my writing today. What I basically mean is that I drift onward, yet the time between this very moment, and my scheduled departure date seems limited, because I am ready; my mind and soul are already in the clouds across the atlantic... they've come down from the satellites for a change. Suede - Animal Nitrate I realized today how much I miss the morning, the smokes and mists, the dew like the placenta of dawn. I miss the mornings in high school, actually. The way I remember it, I was five minutes lat everyday, and I parked in the visitor's parking right next to the door without consequence. This, I'll have you know, cost me in university eventually. Hah. But, no, high school, the smell of buried lunches rotting in lockers, and sterile halls... Our cafeteria had some pretty good food, but I swear the secret ingredient was always vinegar; the building reeked of it within a thirty yard radius of the kitchen. Lucid 3 - Rock And Roll Thieves Which reminds me... vinegar. Words that begin with the letter 'v' are pretty cool, eh? Valiant. Violet. Vomit. Vulva. I always wondered why 'V' was so far down the alphabet... I was the kid who gave each letter a personality, in a pseudo-Lynchian kind of way, anyhow. 'V' was the guy who was too lazy to get his ass up to that pretty boy 'A'... from a child's point of view he smoked cigars and was really loud and poorly shaven. From my perspective, he likely beat his children. 'V' is for violence. The Verve - Space And Time 'V' is for Verve. This was not premeditated.
